Profile of Steve Bell

(Bass, Guitar, harmonica, Vocals)

I taught myself to play the guitar in mid-teens, driven by the Beatles' music,

and discovered folk clubs when I was old enough to go into pubs.

Then I had to get my head round singing the stuff as well - after that, there was no turning back.

When I lived in London, my longest-standing gig was a restaurant residency that continued for 8 years! Since then, I've enjoyed all the variations of music from rock'n'roll thru to sea-shanties.

First time I saw Carey & Rathbone, they were cooking up a storm, and I couldn't leave well alone.

So I just said "This is too hot, you guys have to let me sit in!"
